Erin MacEachen,
Director of Finance 

Erin MacEachen, CPA, CA, was appointed as Director of Finance with the Strait Regional Centre for Education (SRCE) as of July 14, 2025. She brings over 20 years of experience in the financial industry having held key roles including Staff Accountant, Manager and Senior Accountant in a public accounting practice. Prior to this appointment, Erin served as Director of Finance/Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for a municipal unit in Nova Scotia.

As Director of Finance, Erin oversees the Centre’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficiency.

A distinguished professional, Erin holds a Chartered Accountant Designation from the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting Major) from St. Francis Xavier University.  

Under the leadership of the Director of Finance, the Department’s responsibilities include:

• Financial planning, budget control and forecasting;
• Financial accounting and reporting;
• Annual audited financial statements;
• Payroll processing;
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payables;
• Purchasing;
• Risk management/internal controls/insurance;
• Monitoring of the financial processes and reporting of school-based funds; and
• Completion and filing of report to various government agencies.
